ASA has recently reviewed its process for accepting varieties which have been developed overseas and first registered in another country for eligibility for certification under the OECD seed schemes.
This process was circulated to ASF members towards the end of last year, but some members seem to be unaware of it. The new policy is available on the ASA website at
aseeds.net.au/document/cat_view/75-varieties
Those ASF members who may seek the registration of a variety for certification under either the OECD or the Australian Seed Certification Scheme are advised to visit the website and download the requirements.
